Full Day Athens Tour

Excerpt from his email:

Thank you for your e-mail and greetings from Athens!!

It would be my pleasure to arrange one of my very experienced English speaking drivers with a Mercedes minibus to be your driver and show you the city on April 16th, 2013.

Please note that all my tours are private (vehicle reserved solely for your group) and flexible.  It is always up to you to modify the suggested itinerary according to your personal preferences, even during the tour.

As comfort and safety are top priorities for Private Greece Tours all vehicles are air conditioned, non smoking, fully insured, licensed and certified for tourist use by the state authorities.

Please click on the blue title below to see my suggested itinerary.

This tour has been especially designed for visitors who have only one day to spend in Athens.

From my experience the best time to start would be at 08:00 so as to avoid the big crowds at the Acropolis.

Please note that driver-guides in Greece, as in most of Europe, can’t escort you in the sites. However your driver will be able to provide you with historical information and trivia during your drive towards the sites.

In case you want a licensed guide to escort you to the sites I can arrange one for you in advance.  They charge 200 Euros for a full day tour.  If, though, you want a guide only for the Acropolis you can hire one at the site.  Usually guides stand at the entrance of the Acropolis and they charge 100 Euros for up to 10 people plus 10 Euros per each additional person.

Please note that entrance fees and lunch are not included in the price of the tour.

Entrance Fees  to the Sites
Athens Multi Pass:                         12 Euros (except Museums)
National Archaeological Museum:   7 Euros
OR New Acropolis Museum:           5 Euros (Mondays closed)

Free admission for
Children under 19
Students from E.U.

Reduced admission for
Senior citizens of the E.U. aged over 65
Students from countries outside the E.U.

For more information, contact Ballerine22 on CruiseCritic or via the CC Roll Call link at the top right of the page
My husband and I have booked a three hour bike tour through Athens. It will showcase their culinary delights. The tour guide states: "The Culinary tour lasts approximately 3 hours, during the tour we visit some major sights and the modern market where from you can buy some goodies and then have a picnic up a hill overlooking Athens and Parthenon." The cost is 25Eu per person, with 1 hour free of bike rental after the tour and 20% off if more bike rental is needed after that. We booked the 11:00 tour. If anyone would like to join us, we have 4 more slots available on the tour. The website for this is: http://www.athensbybike.gr/en

  1. I would like to join! I am travelling alone with 2 well behaved kids (9 and 11). However, if you would prefer no children, I understand!
